Once upon a time I had an artist statement that read:
After becoming a mom in December 2006, I left my position as a Communications Director to dedicate my time fully to motherhood and the more intentional pursuit of my art making.
Since I first wrote those words our family has expanded and my art making has been in a bit of a holding pattern as I raise my children. But the joy I have discovered is the freedom in allowing my creativity to be birthed in whatever manner is appropriate for a given day may it be collaborative watercolor paintings with my son or post-thunderstorm puddle jumping and worm hunting. So I am celebrating creativity in the everyday and giving thanks for the ways God is working out this creative call on my life.
